ok so today i thought to myself i should go put on my new extended brake cable and throttle cable... because i got 4 inch risers now. (this is all going on my 98 sx 600). ok so i had no clue on how to change out the brake cable and for some reason the powermadd cable doesnt screw into the brake fluid container. so some break fluid bled out but not alot. so once i figured out it doesnt fit i put the old one back on... to see that my break lost all the pressure and doesnt work at all now... PLEASE HELP ME. also i would like some help with the installation of the new brake cable and the new throttle cable. thank you!

Ok first go to the dealer and get to a RX1 brake bolt idk the name for it but someone will. This will make it so the cable will work with that reservoir. If you want brakes on your sled now you have to take the top off your rezzy and fill with fluid. Then go and bleed the 2 bleeders on the clapper this will bring your brakes back. Now you have to take air box carbs and a motor mount off just to get the oil cable so do this on a day you have nothing to do. Just change them out and make sure you have the right tension on the oil cable so you don’t burn your motor up. if you have any more questions just ask

he was thinking of a banjo bolt. and you need a couple crush washers to go with it. you need the throttle and oil cables too. they arent that expensive.

I bought a Powermadd brake line and not at all impressed with the machining done to the threads. I understand that all companys have tolerances to deal with, but they could have got the pitch and thread size a lil bite closer to Yami's specs. I installed mine at the top where the bars are of course and couldnt believe the slop between the brake line and brake resisvor. You can wiggle it around ALOT, so all I did was used some plumbers tape to take up the slop. Not sure if or how long it'll hold up, but I'm gunna give it a try. I will be upgrading to a Streamline Brake Line in the near future.

You can check with your dealer but I have an 01 MM 700.
It has a 5 1/2" Rox riser with stock bars and stock throttle and oil line.
Throttle is in the stock location, the oil line goes over the air box.
I got my extended brake line from Royal Distributing. It bolted right up.
Maybe you can use the MM oil line and cable. I have put about 200 kms of mountain riding on this set up with no problems.

I went to http://www.gravityworxracing.com and ordered extended throttle and oil cables for my 2001 SXR 700. The sled's previous owner had installed PowerMadd extension kits, but the cables were totally falling apart and I wanted the bulky extension boxes eliminated.
When my cables arrived from gravityworx, my buddy was jealous because they look cherry and the machining is top notch. The cable jackets look like braided stainless steel.
