No i like paint less work. The first pik shows the wheels moved closer to the bend in the rail and another set added in the middle. These with the 8 inch wheels and bearings on the top of the rear shock bolt help with rolling resistance. The handle bar pad is from a ripped set i had.The threads are the ones you put in a car for floor mats. And the rear axle is differant as the inner whees are closer together.

Had it powdercoated at a snapon tool box factory by a friend 3 years ago.I dunno what it would cost but it holds up well.Mul those are stoppers for the rear h arm when i put those silver shocks on.lol

BlueWho,how do you like that 98 SRX.I am thing of buying a 98 SRX also. How is yours holding up and many miles do you have on it.I spotted one locally and guy wants $3250 for it with 6000 miles.Lot of guys are telling me to stay away from that year and go 2000 and up.I was told power valves could be shot .What is your opinion. They are fast sleds and will hit 120 miles per hour right.I kinda like them with the blue tunnel and trailing arms myself.I can't find anything for any cheaper out here. One guy wants $3950 for a 2001 but he is about 7 hours driving time there and back from me,so I don't think so.And another wanted $4850 for the same year.Should I be frightened off by the age or not.I really want one,but don't want the headaches.Only thing about them is the crank issues I heard, but really what is the issue.

Pm ed you!The last pik shows the piece i put on to stop the snowflap from getting sucked into the track after long traveling.

SNOWMONSTER HA you crack me up!!!well you no something i went to the casino to see sha na na and something strange happened it snowed all the way there and all the way back!!!!The 400 looked like one of those alasken highways!!!I got 5 miles from my house.... and the friggen roads were bare!REALY whats up with that?

Hey Blue,I haven't had the chance to look at that 98 SRX yet.The guy went to Florida for a week. Was supposed to call me before he left and his dad would let me go look at it,but nothing. So I will wait.Went to my Yamaha dealer to pu some parts and asked them about the 98.Said they were good sleds and he remembers them selling 48 of them for the season. The book value they told me was $2400,but said no one would sell them that cheap.Talked to his mechanic and asked hime how much he would pay.Said anywhere fromm $3200 to$3500 ,but must be in good shape. If it is beat up and dirty or rusty, said to offer $3000.So I will wait,I am in no hurry anyways, got a sled to ride now.Maybe in the summer will be able to pu a good deal on a 2001 SRX for cheap.or a 98 for cheaper $$$$.

There is lot of good sleds for sale in the classified sec on here.1 bad srx for one!! nice sled for under 3500.You only have to drive 1000 miles for it lol
