Trying to help a guy out, he has a 600 twin that ate the primary clutch. I found a primary off a Rx1, would it fit a 600 twin? Dealer wants to stick it to the poor guy.
what year 600 twin. the weights and springs will be wrong, but the clutch should work. Maxdlx

96 V max I believe, I knew the calibration would be wrong, just wondering about the taper.

Taper is the same. The only thing it will have is a long spring cover so you will need to find the equivalent spring in the new LONG cover primary spring chart. For a rule of thumb, never overhaul any of the 500 or 600 twin primary clutches. Once they wear out the first time you will continue to wear out the rollers & weights every 200 miles!

Ya I know what U mean, the guys around here ride then till they wont pull themselves anymore and wonder whats wrong. lol. This one has the typical flat spotted rollers and ruined weights.
