This is for a 2001 MM600.
This past weekend a friend blew the stock track on his MM. Actually speared his rail through a window and took out about a foot of track. We were lucky enough to ride it back to the truck.
OK, so what do we do now?
The stock track was a 2" x 141, which isn't that popular.
There are lots of 144's around but what is involved in going the extra 3"?
Move suspension back?
Will the rear adjuster take the slack?
Or a 1-1/2" extension?
Just looking for other options but if it's too much of a pain, we'll just look for a repalcement 141. Any ideas or comments are appreciated.
thanks

I would just get the extension tabs and a used track. I just had mine done (141 to 144) by a friend this fall. The Yokohama was blowing lugs out pretty badly. Ordered the tabs from Hartman's and got a used Polari track from a buddy who 156'd his RMK. Works great and it only cost $250 total!! Good luck in getting it back on the snow!

i made mine a 144. call mpi and they'll know what extention you need.
Several options to go 144". You can set the skid back by re-drilling the holes in the tunnel, rail extensions, or get an offset axle and run it backwards with 8" rear wheels. Probably one of the best moves anyone can make is to get rid of that yokohama track. They are lousy in the deep stuff and weigh a ton. Good time to think about extros if ratcheting has ever been a problem and change those drive axle bearings while it's apart!
