took another look at everything.....did as you said mrviper, and the cleaner was coming out fine. however, in the process of cleaning, the sensor at the end of the idle adjustment screw (for TORs i believe?) fell off! apparently at some point i brought the idle so far in that the sensor came unscrewed. took me a good half hour to figure out its reverse threaded...oops. anyway, that wasnt the problem either. so i brought it to someone that will know what they are doing better than i do. shouldnt have tried fixing something that isnt broken i guess...ill keep u guys posted

I Just removed my carbs and pretty much wasted my time by taking the bowls and spraying the heck out of everything because I didnt want to mess with taking internal parts apart. So I didn't. I dont know if anyone has any pics to describe step by step process for cleaning carbs but if they did this would be a great thread to add them to. For myself and bluelightning.

i believe there might be an article in the tech pages. crewcheif walked me through it last season. its very straightforward. but i did something, and its probably something very very simple that i'm overlooking. well get back to you all later to let you know what happened. i would have kept trying myself, but no time with school, and i'm goin up north in less then 2 weeks so i need this taken care of!!

It would apear that you've been getting help from the guys so you're in good hands, like I thought you'd be.

have you used Sea Foam?? I had a problem with my SRX running like crap, so I took off the carbs, cleaned them, put them back together and still had the same problem. I put a can of Sea Foam in and rode it and in about 10 minutes, it cleared out. Running fine now. Must have just had bad fuel in it. Just a thought....
