Can you guys provide me with some info on good places to get sled insurance? I let my policy lapse over the summer, I was paying about $220/year for insurance, but now that it lapsed, they want to nail me for $860/year. I just about had a heart attack when I heard that.

Please provide any info you've got for me. Thanks in advance.

If you live in Michigan no body can touch Liberty Mutual. I am paying $95.00 per year for a 02' Viper. The only catch is that their sled insurance is a rider from your auto insurance. So you have to have a vehicle insured at Liberty inorder to have sled insurance. I moved all my vehicles, RV, and home over to Liberty and they saved me $800 per year on the package over St. Farm. G.B.

state farm, my viper was 175 when it was new till this year, never went up. full coverage
insured my venture for liability, 65bucks for the year.

i deal with companies every day in my buisness, state farm is by far the easiest company to file with or to recieve payment from.

if you are in canada. td is the cheapest.

just got a bill for my sxr and et410. other company who has had them for 3 years wants $600.00 for this year. got a quote from td et410 $120.00, sx500r $135.00. i think i am switchin insurance dont you?

I just got insurance on my Viper today. I'm 25, and was paying 170/year liability only on the 91 Phazer, and am now paying $340/year on an 03 Viper with everything. Theft, collision, liability. I'm with State Farm. It's not a bad deal I think.

some of these differences are from state to state also, different states require different coverages. some states have no falt laws that cause insurance to be very high.

My '97 is about $85 from Liberty as well. All of my family's sleds are covered by Liberty now.

My neighbor's 800 Rev is also in the $800+ range per year from AAA. What a waste of money.

I use Foremost. It's one of the cheapest standalone policys out there. Here's the trick that saves money and maximizes your insurance. I put full comprehensive and collision on during the riding season and drop the coverage to the bare minimum during the off-season. They require a minimum of $155.00/year and I usually end up spending $170 to $180 on a '01 SRX.

American Family covers all my stuff. (Sells all the toys to progressive cheaper then what I can get from them direct).

All my sleds are liablity only at $65.00/ea per year including my rx1.

$96.25 w/500 deduct for rx1
$142.00 w/250 deduct for rx1

I have been discussing full coverage with AFI on the turbo sled for a few days now and waiting for them to give me a final $$ amount. I set the payoff were I wanted it and they are working numbers with progressive.
