Br9ecs?

Bruce will sell you a set of 4 for $30 shipped.

I honestly have not found them cheaper anywhere else. They require less voltage and I think they are much more reliable. The electrode on those plugs are tiny!! but withstand much greater heat than even platinum

the ecs are already pre-gapped from ngk, they are not gonna be out of spec. do not regap these plugs. i repeat do not regap these plugs doing so is asking for trouble. :o|

i dont run ecs, but every once and a while when ive checked pregapped plugs with a feeler gauge there a little diferent, I was saying I prefer ungapped plugs and to gap them myself. sorry if i was un clear

You should always double check

I received a box of plugs from Bruce that all have the wrong gap. I live in Windsor Ont, so i'm deffinately not going to send them back to him. I gapped them and they seem to be fine. We're talking about moving the gap a few thou. Not a big deal in my opinion.

If you were sent the wrong plugs I myself would expect the supplier of the product to take care of shipping and get you the correct plugs. What part number were you sent??? Being a TY vendor Id expect them to know what the correct plugs are for a SRX, but go ahead and run them, its your $$ and your sled.

I always re check my ecs's too,not going to just throw 'em in ya know. :)

I "CHECK" mine also BUT I will NOT re-gap the ECS if there are out of spec. I bought a whole box of screwtops from SKI last season and all the plugs were within spec, thats way I said checking them is not required(earlier in thread). But I do it anyway cause Im anal.

I know....Im a :postwhore :postwhore :postwhore!!!!!!!LOL

Confirmed today that my 4677 BR9ECS plugs with solid electrode have the correct .028" gap. Also bought them for 5.00/pc.

So you say don't re-gap them plugs.I ordered a bunch of BR9ECS from Royal, talked to the guy on the phone and told him it was for the SRX,not
Ski-doo.The number on the box is 6669 and the gap is about 430 mm.So these plugs are the wrong ones I assume and you say I can't re-gap them. I can'r return them since I ordered them in the spring.I re-gapped a couple to the right spec, did it carefully, but Redsnake you are saying don't use them.I ran the SRX last weekend for 4 miles around my yard with them, but you are scaring me now.

tomseal,I have 3- BR9EIX ( which I use in my SXR) new in their boxes. You say they would work in the SRX.I have 12 BR9ECS which have the wrong gaps and if I try to use them by re-gapping them...I could have a problem with them them,as redsnake states.

I quit running those plugs.

I now run the NGK BR9EIX Iridium plugs. 600 miles and havnt failed me yet.

IME 4 stroke use so far, running the iridium plugs GIANS power over a perfectlynew normal non iridium plugs.

napa has the iridiums for 8 dollars each.

but I will probably use the fleet farm special br9ecs, or more than likely BR9es

The Iridium IX plugs have a 0.6mm centre electrode that produces an intense flame. It has a 360 degree laser welded tip on it.It seems to be gapped about .029 out of the box.Anyone else besides tomseal using these
BR9EIX plugs on their SRX's.

I am going to take one of those BR9ECS plugs and take pliers to the tip and see how easy they are to break off and will see if they are fragile if I have to re-gap them a small amount.
