Old piston-port GP pistons in GPX

I rebuilt a stock XA-433 motor and plan on trying a couple 72' GP pistons. They are single ring but the ring is a tiny bit thicker than a stock GPX piston. Otherwise, the dimensions are exactly the same as a the GPX piston.
Anyone here ever try them?

As long as your ports line up with the cutaways properly, and your piston is the same height above the wrist pin, probably not a bad idea
