Hmm, I wonder if I could get away with that. I have an 1 1/4 trach with studs. I think I already have some scratch marks on the tunnel. I should take a look and see how thick that material is.

get your cylinders set up with .0035"-.0038" clearance.

does the swain tech coating do anything to save pistons etc from high heat?? figure mrviper would know might be worth a try if you are having that many problems

I have built them both ways, the coated pistons seem to have alot less friction even just turning the engine over by hand, I like the coating, it seems to save the skirts from as much wear, but they didnt produce any more overall power.

worth the $$$ though? I was half thinking about doing it on my old merc trail twister, just to give it a little extra protection and longevity. what is your opinion on that?

cool, thanks mrviper! cant you guys mount doo s-chassis coolers in the tunnel? they are pretty wide adn should give you a lot more cooling

I run polaris style coolers, you can get them on ebay for under $35.
