79 ET300 Fuel problem??

My 79 Enticer has developed a stalling problem after running about 2 minutes. I have drained the fuel tank and lines, changed the oil, and replaced the plugs and wires. I have no trouble getting the sled to start, but, after about 2 minutes running it stalls and won't restart for a half hour or so. I thought it might not be recieving it's fuel and unplugged the fuel line from the carb while running and it will stay going as long as I feed the carb manually with a squirt bottle. After running for 5 or so minutes and plugging the fuel line back onto the carb, it stalls again. The line is clear, and I can blow through the lines into the tank. Any suggestions where I might look to fix my problem??

Make sure your vent line is not plugged or kinked.If it is you won't pull fuel out of the tank after a few minutes of running. Hope this helps.

When you have fuel line off carb and you're running with the squirt bottle you should have fuel pumping out of the line if you didn't plug it off.If not could also be fuel pump problem. Have you cleaned carb?
 
That almost sounds like leaking crank seals to me. When they are cold sometimes they seal and the motor runs great. Then they start to leak when the engine warms up and gaps get bigger. Then the engine just bogs down. Often, an engine with bad seals will actually run with the throttle feathered or choke out. I've seen alot of people drive around this way but it's a 1 way ticket to meltdown in the end. It could also be a coil issue as well. They like to screw up sometimes when they get warm. Usually bad coils cause misfiring though and not the lean "stalling" or bogging that are associated with air leaks.
 
check to see if your impulse line is cracked, the one that goes from your engine base to your fuel pump.
 
Problem solved

Well, after sitting in a basement for 22 years, the sled is purring like new. Changed all fluids, plugs, and wires. new gas and cleaned the varnish and sludge out of fuel bowl, set the idle. I'm happy again. Thanks for all your ideas and input. Great site for any of us that want to keep our classics running.
