Depends on the year and whether it has R.A.V.E. or not, don't forget with the long track it will have a traction advantage. Really we need more info about both machines.

the grand touring 1998 is a 583 stock and the vmax is a 1998 600 twin 144 studs,reeds, reed spacers.

Well that puts it into perspective unstudded and against the 600 with a couple of mods the 600 should walk away with it.
