srx with the edge in out on the lake!!!

So transfer = traction on trail sleds maybie not race sleds but trail sleds.Thing is the proaction will do the same thing in the right hands! Not anywere as good of a skid as the edge mind you.

Yes it does, The first time I rode it was on the trail with the rear blocks set to most transfer and im not kiding when I say this I could not keep the skies on the ground. So at the first pit stop I switched the blocks to the least transfer and it was better but I thought it still was a little to much. Out on the lake I had the blocks set to least transfer and it would lift the skies about a foot high for about 50 feet then it just sat down and took off like i never felt on this sled.

now what about trail riding.... does it still handle and corner as well??

Ive only had it out once on the trails and it was totally different. It did not corner like it use to but it took the bumps much better. I need more seat time and try some different settings. I had the springs set to soft so im going to set it to medium next time if it ever snows.

Dave i could go out there if you want to, but i was out there today for awhile and it is DAMN COLD with that wind whipping, and the high tomorrow is going to be -3*F. Only took about 1/2 hour of riding on the srx to have enough of that with that stock windy on there.

i wasnt planning on running all day, just a couple runs with the gps and to see the top rpm's. ill probably just go mon and tue. p.m. me your cell# if you'll be around mon or tue.

update. day at the lake was cut short. tors kept kicking in like mad. had the same problem last trip out and the dealer said the throttle cable was very loose (wasnt) and they tightened it. and if that wasnt enough, the hifax melted to the track clips and toasted a new belt. i had to walk back to the trailer and get the spare tire to use as a trackstand to unstick the track. only made a couple runs and nobody else toasted the hifax. track was loose and fully clipped too! if the dealer doesnt fix it this time the sled is gone. :o|

So that is what happened to you??? Sorry to hear that, damn I feel bad now, I was waiting for you at the end of the lake for like 15 min or so and all my buddies were already down the the trail a mile or two so I tried to catch up with them to tell them to stop but it was to late. So we just figured you must of wanted to stay a lake race. I feel so bad now. We went out to Tischagan, wish you would of made it, it was a lot of fun getting to ride all those nice sleds. And the trails were not to bad either.

see i have the problem of too much transfer right now... raced my dads ZRT today and won but had to keep getting out of the throattle cause anywhere aroudn 20-50mph the thing lifts the skids a goof 4-6" off the ground and i have no steering.... i also have bender TC3 transfer rods
