This fall I replaced all three of my powervalves, because two of them had pulled through. The cables all looked fine, and I adjusted them. For some reason since I did this, my temp. light is flashing at me when I reach about 7000 rpms. It is flashing 7 times and then a break. I know that code means something is up with the servo motor. I took the cover off the servo motor and turned down my idle below 1000 rpms to check and see if the motor is working. It seems to be fine! There really doesn't seem to be much if any lack of power, could it be an electrical issue?

I see you have a 99 srx in your avatar, is this the sled? put the sled up on a stand and remove servo cover, now rev the sled up over 7000rpm, run it a few high rpm passes 8000rpm, and observe the servo opening the valves, is it smooth and constant or is it jerky?? let me know, I have more information on this but ya have to check things in order.

I had the same thing happen to my 98 and it was because I adjusted the cables to tight and the servo motor couldn't reach it's full open position, readjusted and the light stoped.
