I was just quoted a new 2006 Standard Phazer for $5000.00 plus tax. The Salesman told me that I should wait until fall that yamaha may put out a 900cc Modle because the 450 Jugs bolt right up. Is this true. And How much will they likely go for?

there is no way that the 450 jugs will bolt up because although the phazer engine is based on the 250f engine it is different. the phazer ebgine isnt two 250f engines it is a monoblock design and the cylinders are alreaddy really close together. it is possible they are gonna design another engine based on the 450f's but is very highly unprobable. just my 0.02.

the Phazer they have now is a 2007 model, they might bring out a 2008 900 cc in the FX chassic but it WONT be a simple install of 2 big bore juggs

The salesman at my local dealer said there will be a new 900 phazer, but it will be in a new stronger chassis for 08. Thats just the salesman talking, so I wouldn't bet on it. Sure would be nice though.

doubt that it will be a PHAZER, most likely a new @ 120 hp. model!!
still will make the Phazer just have a big brother

see what i can find out tommorrow going to local yami dealer which is my moms uncle. ill grt a couple beers in him and see whats up.

I just got back from the UP today. I stayed at a remote cabin in the porcupine mts. that we rent every year that has alot of land that goes with it. Two days ago Yamaha was testing that new model on our same land. In fact they parked their plain white truck and trailer in our driveway. We had to squeeze around it. We were asked by the cabin/land owner NOT to bother them (otherwise we couldn't rent it anymore). We obliged. I did see the sled as I passed them, but they had it covered. The strange thing is I heard it through the trees being they were only hundreds of yards away from our cabin. The sound I heard was a 2 stroke??? Maybe they had a brand X sled for comparison. From what I heard it is a new 4 stroke, 3 cylinder, fuel injected Phazer type sled. My same info last year was the Phazer, so I feel confident this is probably what it is.

I have heard of Yamaha going out and riding all the other manuf. sleds and none of their own, like out west somewhere they had all the 440's. Probably doing somesort of 2-stroke comparison to see how they can improve on the competition and stay ahead of them with the four strokes.
