03 RX1 or 01 SRX or 05 M viper(what to buy)

ok i have $6500.00 to spend like not to spend it all on the sled save some for the mods anyhow.

I've located these 3 sleds i can get the srx for $3900.obo canadian.or the RX1 for $5000.00 obo can. both sleds stalk (srx has bender can) both around 7000k on them,, the viper has 144x2" track 1400 kms $6000.00 obo.all sleds in great shape or so they seem and ive been told.

I was really thinking of the RX1 is that a good choice but the viper catches my eye as well (might be more of a ditch banger powder sled) than agn if i loose my 99srx in the race for pinks ill have to buy the srx ...

pointers from any1 would be great thanks agn guys

what type of riding do you do? off-trail, mtn. viper no questions asked.....as for trail riding, srx..

I like ,hill climbing, powder,ditch banging, jumping,off trail,making my own trail

MY 99srx does everything else ,looking for a reliable sled as relaible as my srx thanks agn

just found out the Rx1 is an rx1 mountain so 144 track or better i guess.come on guys moneys burning a hole in my pocket lol.
 
the 03and 04 rx1 had a problem with burning oil they fixed it on the 05's some of the 03 and o4 have the updated 05 rings if it was burning oil to bad chances are they don't have the updated rings.Buy the 05 mtn viper that's the first year with new proactive suspension it's the same typr of skid in the apexmtn vector mtn,nytro,rtx,venture and 05 vectors.

well i did not know bout the RX1 oil problem so anyhow ive been thinking viper as well its a 2005 M viper 1400 kms very good cond $6000.00 canadian you think its high priced ??????

yes the srx has more power but is not as good in the powder.The viper has a lot narrower belly pan the srx like's to plow snow.Plus the sr is short travel and hevier.
 
how many out there

own an srx700 and a viper what 1 do you like the best .if i buy the 05 viper will i still want to ride my srx.I wont sell it but (let the wife ride it).
Is the viper reliable like the srx.. seems the viper might be a better all round sled?? ditchbanger,jumper powder sled. would you guys stay away from the 03 rx1?
 
i feel the rx1 is clumsy to ride. i have spent many hours on a rx1 mountain, and it is a point and shoot sled, very hard to manuver in the deep, even with simmons, sway bar removed,etc, the sled wants to dive making it hard to handle in the deep. that being said, it is very reliable and can be had for cheap. i would suggest going for the viper, it will outperform the rx1 if you want to just play around and "ditch bang".....and at the end of the day, you dont feel like you have been in the weight room for 8 hours. just my experience with both.....
 
Well u still have ur SRX! Get the viper, it will be a better trail sled, you already have one rocket sitting in your garage, getting another SRX doesn't seem quite what ur looking for.

However, the price on the viper does seem a little high.
 
rx1 mountain by far reliability, power, powder riding would be good,but the only downfall they wiegh about a ton gotta love the fact they start by the turn of a key. my opinion if you have the srx for lake running, the rx1 would be a good next sled
