ride near historic Chikoot trail - Skagway Ak.

Here are a few pics of our ride on Friday.
The area is locally known as the Skagway Summit.
It is located 20 miles from Skagway Alaska or about 80 miles from
Whitehorse Yukon.
We usually ride there at least once a week.
This part of the summit is near the Chilkoot trail which was used by
gold rush seekers in the late 1800's. They used the trail to access the Klondike goldfields in Dawson City Yukon from Skagway Alaska.
It is also near the historic White Pass & Yukon rail route.
These tracks once ran from Skagway Ak. to Whitehorse YK.
They now run summer tours over about half of the original line.

What can I say.....fricken amazing! The farthest I gotten into AK was Petersberg on the island of mitkov (sp.?) to work the Tanner crab season. You ride that once a week? You lucky SOB...LOL So what's it like living the dream?

Thanks for the replies guys.
We were talking on the way back the other day.
We were feeling kind of bad because we ride this area so often we kind
of take it for granted that its all like this.
We decided this year to take way more pictures and to kind of slow down
once in a while and just sort of take it all in.
Crabing would be hard work.
After 5 days of Halibut fishing at Hoonah Ak. I can hardly lift my arms.
I will save the halibut and moose pics for when we are bored to tears this summer.
