Many members at HCS have recommended this site. I've gone from a '90 Wildcat to a '99 SRX 700. I'm not familiar with setting up the suspension to suit my weight & conditions. My old Cat had very minimal adjustments. Are there some basics anyone could let me in on? Such as the transfer rods...which way does what? Rear shocks...Are they adjusted to rider weight(170lbs.)? Or to trail conditions. Limiter straps...loose/tight? I guess I'm looking for a place to start. Do you set the shock adjuster in the middle of the threads then go from there. I'm sure I seem lost...I am about this. I know it's a strong runner, had it out for 120 miles on Friday. Trails in Gaylord,Mi were marginal. Seemed to have trouble hooking up compared to my old Cat. It has 144 studs down the middle. I guess I expected more from it down low. My buddies stock '99 POO 600 xcsp(I think) could get me outta the hole till almost 60, then I'd walk right by. Top end is scary fast. Do you think suspension adjustments will help down low? Any help apperciated.

Welcome to the site!!Basics for a trail rider are rods more gap on top more transfer if the rear spring is not to tight witch is for ride hieght and the 3 way adjuster is in the middle!Drop it to the bottom if you want lots of transfer and leave the limiters loose. For radar runs and drag racing tighten the straps and rods!Ride on.
