Anyone got a picture of a studd-protecktor in the front?

Do you mean the ones over your front heat exchanger?I thought those were on there from the factory..guess you learn something new every day!

Hey I just fabricated a set last week. Its kind of a bear to do. I can't really get a good photo to show you how unless I pull them out. I have a Viper with a 1.250 Ripsaw on it the studs are just short of .250 out of the lug. I am not a pro with welding aluminum or it would be a lot easier. I used 1 inch steel square tubing. It would also be easier if you pull the track and suspension. I did not do this either. I cut the tubing at an angle to match the tunnel and welded a bolt to it, drilled a hole and bolted it up. On the bottom side I cut it flush with the skid plate welded on a tab and bolted it to the aluminum belly plate. This may sound like a lot of work, well it is! If there is a set that you can purchase I would do it. This little project took me 4 hours and I own my own machine shop. Good Luck!

Yes, it´s over the front heatexchanger. Dont think that they where bolted on from factory on Vipers, just on Sxr and Srx. Right?
I also got a 1.25 Ripsaw with 1,457 studds. Making proteckors to the tunnel is easy, but i the front its not. But at least i have the track and boggie pulled out.
Is it to play Russian Roulett without having any proteckors in the front you think?

1,457 studs??? Thats alot of steel!!!
Yes , it would be Russian roulette if you dont install the protectors. Have you changed your drivers to 8-tooth, If not , your going to have a hard time getting protectors in with the 1 1/4" track.
I believe the Vipers all came with protectors except the 04 Viper S, It came stock with the 1 1/4 ripsaw, no room for the protectors.
Someone may have removed yours if their not there.

Are your for real with the number of studs you posted or is that a miss print??? If its not a miss print, I have to ask how much did that track weigh after you were done. Cause thats the first thing I would have done after all that work.
But yea to run that track with studs you'll need 8 tooth drivers to clear the protectors. But like Sno-Xr said above all Vipers (EXCEPT) the Viper S came with tunnel and front protectors. You'll need protectors for the rear heat exchanger if ya have one.

He is talking about the height of the studs are 1.457 just to clear it up...Atleast I think so LOL

hehe, ofcourse i was talking about the height. English spelling is harder than swedish..
96 studs total. But i think i will remove and sell them, bought the track like this...
