My dealer transplanted a 99 Vmax 600 motor into a 98 Vmax 600. The motor was used with about 2500 miles on it.
The 99 motors carbs were used but were rebuilt before installing them. The sled hesitates around 5,000rpm's before taking off. If the choke is set to half choke the hesitation is gone. If you ride the sled for about 30 minutes then you can remove the choke and it runs fine.
Top end is great.
Does anyone have any ideas on what this may be?

fuel screws need to be turned out more, the reason it quits when it gets warmer is the engine gets richer with engine temp, you most likely need about a 3/4 turn more to be perfect.
