Looking for a 2nd sled/backup and I found a clean 2001 SXR 700 for $1800. It has some miles(3600) on it, but it is very clean and has a brand new track. I thought it was a very good price. What do you all think? Anything I should look for? From what I know the SXR's are very solid sleds.

sounds like a steal to me, those are going for 3000-3500 min around new england, and we have no snow

yep, I ran into a guy on the trails this weekend who was the orginal owner of a 1998 700sx, over 14,000 miles, he's only replaced rings once

same sled as me, I have 5300 miles, and many more to go

I think you should give me their number so I can go pick it up.

J/K... Kelley Blue Book for that sled is $2910. It's a steal.

requested pictures of it and it's a 2000 not a 2001. The guy has owned it for 4yrs and has always thought it was a 2001. I really want an 01+, but I still may go for it.

Yea i like the '01's better with the silver..

With prices like that I think I'll fire up the old Chevy and head south to find a newer sled next fall, a 2000 SRX is about $3500-$4000. up here in THE GREAT WHITE NORTH.

I will, but I'm still 50/50 on it right now. I had planned on getting it yesterday before finding out it was a 2000.

I would still go for it for that price... the 2000 still had the dual headlight didn't it? The silver tunnel and trailing arms are a good look but all blue is still just as good IMO.

BUY IT. dont stress about the headlight, although they do suck. 3600 miles its just broken in
