where is the best place to wire in a electric shield on a 97 sx 700 thanks

I wired mine to come out the left side of the handle bars, by the park brake.
don't remember the wire color, but ran it to the supply side so it would be regulated all the time.
also skidoo makes an optional plug kit you can mount to your dash, with a pic of a heated shield on it, gives it a cleaner look. youll have to cut off their plastic plug, but hooks up the same,i think.

Do not use it but was installed by original owner RED wire right side (sitting on sled)
