Can anyone tell me the stock spring setting for the secondary on this machine as well as the washers on the outside of the secondary (what the play should be) from side to side. Any help is appreciated.

Spring is PT# 90508-50746 Color code is WHITE Twist Angle is 50 Hole Position A 2

For High Altitude it is the same spring but the twist angle is 60 and spring hole is B2 .

Now the washers.
V belt width=======number of washers between halfs
30.6mm ========== 2 washsers
(1.2in)

30.6-29.6mm ========== 1 washers
(1.2-1.17in)

29.6- 28.6mm =========== 0 washers
(1.17-1.13in)

Smaller than 28.6mm ( 1.13in) replace the belt

Endplay
.5 - 1.0mm (.02 - .04in)

End play shims PT#
90201-222F0 ---------.5mm(.02in)
90201-225A4 -------- 1.0mm (.04in)

Center to center between the primary and secondary is
267 - 270mm (10.5 - 10.6in)

Offset of the secondary from the primary is
9.5 - 12.5mm ( .37 - .49in)

Offset shim PT#
90201-252F1 ------- .5mm(.02in)
90201-25527 ------- 1.0mm (.04in)
90201-25526 ------- 2.0mm (.08in)

I have a 1989 exciter and ther seems to be an issue as it comes up to shifting like it has use more power to overcome the shift and as it gets up there you can feel it does not seem right. Once it gets past the shift its as smooth as grease. I put new ramp slides and a new belt as well. I'm stumped. Does anybody have any suggestions?

have you done anything with the primary clutch. mine was trashed. the bushings in the fly weights were gone, the rollers that the fly wieghts ride on did not have any bushings . it would bog and run like hamerd dog poo

nothing all bushing and ramps o.k teh only things is 2 brass bushings i relpaced the small one but can't figure out how to replace the big one on the sliding sheave. Any ideas?
