Looking to find a heat exchanger for my sled. Mine has two huge dents ! We are expecting the first big storm of the season on Wed. 2/14/07. If anyone knows where I can find one I would really appreciate your help. Only 1 available ebay.

Regards, Nora

Welcome,,

if it's just dents can it be ran or do you think it's being restricted or is
it leaking, what happen?????

It looks like the track and picks hit it on both sides of the protectors. It leaks. I dont think it is repairable. The dents are at least 3 inches wide.

Front or back???
It is the front and I just ended up buying a new one from my local dealer. The one on ebay was from a 99 srx and would not fit the 01 sxr. Oh well that's the way it goes sometimes. Thanks for your help.

That front one is a big pain in the ars to put in need to pull the motor
skid and it's still hard to do..not fun are you doing it???

You will probably need a bottle jack to spread the tunnel apart enough to get it to fall out, they are wedged in there pretty good usually.

It figures that this is going to be a real pain to get in and out. Nothing is ever easy. No I won't be doing this myself. My husband is the mechanic around here. I will try my best to help. I have a feeling stuff is gonna be flying by the sounds of it. Thanks for your help and I will pass this info on. I do believe he has a bottle jack somewhere in that organized mess of his. LOL

Ok your a she LOL :),

they can be welded too, you need to pull your skid and axle out then
take the whole sled to a welding shop and have it welded with it in
the machine yet, thats what most people do if it's not to bad of a repair..
