Dave_vmax600 ,
It looks like you have a big space like the ski could rattle side to side. Is this how it is or just the pic?

Dave I put shims in so the ski can't slid in the saddle.I put the on the out side so it actaully gives you a wider stance.

yeah i was just to lazy to shim it lol.....i will this weekend.
it doesnt rattle as much as you think...thats why i wasn't quick to shimming it

nope they are yamaha skis
How did you guys do that? Did you modify the stock saddles that fit the ski originally? Or did you have to fabricate a whole new saddle?
I'd really like to add plastic skis to my Exciter, was thinking about some new USI's, but if I can do it for alot less, that'd be nice.
Got any close up pics of the saddles, before/after and what mods were made?

Doo Skis'
I got a set off a 2002 ski-doo mxz 600 sport, and All you have to do to get them to fit is remove the Large spacer that is used with the steel ski's and grind an oval on the one saddle so a bolt will clear, They ride A LOT better. There is 1 shim on each side. We fille the back of the saddle where it was open with some Silicon calk to adjust the amount the ski's can tip down as well and got it very close to stock and the silicon has held up to 220 miles so far. Heres some pics.
