How tall of a riser can I use on the MPI Long Cables for 98MTNSRX

Has anyone used the MPI (Mountain Performance Inc.) 97/04 Long MM Throttle Cable - longer both 2000 and 97-99.

The tell me the outer sheath measures 32 1/4" long.

Any info is much appreciated!

Mnt Viper

Why not use Mnt Viper Cables. They work with a 6" rise on my 01 SXr and you have the narrower handlebars then I have. Reinforce your SRX steerig post or you may have a problem.
 
Yamaha want close to $90 where MPI only wants $17 & $20 for the oil line.

MPI also had the Steering stiffeners also for $35, but when I asked some people around my area, they had not heard of having to re-enfore the column.

I have the longer oil pump cable brand new Yamaha for $25 Canadian, You will need a longer brake hose I think but I'm not sure with the narrower bars. On my 98 MSRX the steering post broke off just above the upper bushing. Yamaha has since reinforced the steering post for that reason. It was a fun ride out ! Not !
 
Don't buy any aluminum stiffeners!!!!! Use a piece of gas pipe and hammer it down the tube. Then weld the two pieces together.....................SRXtreme
