case porting

I was just wondering when you port your case and port your intake ports, boost port and polish your exaust. Do you have to spin the engine at a higher rpm to notice any gains ( remove tip weight). Or keep the engine at the stock rpm 8300.

Every time if you make modification for your engine, you should dyno it. If you keep stock pipes peak rpm might be same or 100-200 upper with porting

No, it shouldnt raise the rpms, it mostly makes the power curve of the motor flatter meaning it makes more power over a wider range of rpm, takes the spike or the hit out of the motor. If the case is done right its worth around 5-6hp.
