Just wanted to share some of my vintage race pics form last weekend. Hope you get a kick from them. My '73 SR292 and the little '78 et300 Still need to be FASTER, but is all fun :o|

We raced this weekend aswell. Didn't take any photos but we took videos of just about everyrace. Here are some stills I got from our video. Made all the finals in my heat races then had 3 back to back races and got exhausted. I ended up with a first in the single cylinder final on our 250 ET. Then I placed first in our 340 Fan Final.

My SR292 is comming around and is now a competive machine. The enticer however is a completly different story. Someday I hope to have this all figured out!!!
 
yes the stock class. Biggest issue I have is ski pressure. I am using a set of aluminum "northstar" shorty skies with the super low profile spring. Huge mistake, but I had them on the shelf. Plus I need to remount my rear skid higher in front. Limiter strap is real tight, but still transfers too much weight.
I am acutally running the small et250 frame with a et300 twin motor in it. Really short stance on that little et250.
Always willing to listen to advise!!
 
I'm really out gunned form the start. The stock 0-300 fan twin class WAS single carb and single exhaust with motor matching chassie. 4 weeks b4 season opener, the rules were changed to allow twin carb, twin pipe. No tune pipe...... The enticer 300 single carb, single pipe is no match for a well built 295 el tigre or even a el tigre running "z" pipes.
I'll keep working on it next season, Just takes time and testing
 
Fun racing matt.... I have a video of my SR292 last weekend comming. If I can figure out how to post it, I will show you the 1st two laps or so. I was running the sled so rich that once she heated up, I had a hard time and REALLY got smoked.
Vintage race bug is a Ugly thing to catch!
 
Wow. Thats looks like a lot of fun. I used to be pretty big into vintage sleds, but I got out of it because parts are just too darned hard to find. Ive owned a '78 Polaris TX 340, a '78 Ski-Doo 340 RV and an '80 John Deere TrailFire 340.
Ive been keeping an eye out for a vintage Yammie, but as of yet I havent found any that didnt need major work. In a lot of ways, I actually think the vintage stuff is more fun to ride than the new stuff because they are so much simpler, lighter and easier to throw around.
