New Doo in detail

Personally, I think it is much better looking than the current REV. I wonder if they relaxed the rider forward postion any? I am not a fan on how the REV rides. I think it is too rider forward. G.B.

Actually, Honda's 2-strokes put out the least power of any 2-stroke dirtbike. The 2 best smokers are Yamaha and KTM.
I still think the new REV looks an awfull lot like a Phazer. Would I buy one? Nope. I cant stand the arrogance of BRP. They refuse to admit that they ever have any problems with any of their products.

It all depends on what year and model CR your talking about, I never said ALL Hondas. I know the bike I own 00 CR250 won bike of the year for POWER and HANDLING. But if you would like to see #'s of more recent bikes, heres a Dyno chart of 05 machines. Honda still isnt on top in this dyno comp. , but she is above one brand you mentioned.

But one other thing you didnt mention anything about is reliabilty which I find funny. Cause Ive heard of many Yami YZ125/250 mechnical PV linkage snapping, causing the the PV to close while riding in the midrange in all causing a burndown. Maybe its a good idea they dont use stamped sheet metal on a high moving part. While on older CR's they used hardened round stock to power the PV, and now HONDA uses basically the same method thats used on Vipers and SRXs. Which Yamaha actually produced on a great trail bike that I have owned, 93 WR200.

But back on topic, the new SKI-DOO looks sweet so :bash: MO.

Go pick up any dirtbike magazine that does a shootout between 125s. Yammie and KTM always finish in the top 2 positions.
Not trying to bash you or your bike, but Honda cant be that great in 2-strokes considering they arent going to be making a 2-stroke for '08.

Any magazine huh??????FEB. 2000 MXracer, Honda won both class sizes that year.   An you want the reason why Honda is cutting out the 2 Stroke Line, cause there is NO LONGER A MARKET FOR THEM!!!!!!!! Watch any Motocross , Supercross, Supermoto, BAJA, or Enduro race and tell what you HEAR or SEE most.......... 4 STROKES!!!!!!!!!(THESE TYPE OF RACES BRING THE $$$$$$$$$). So that leaves Freestyle, Rec. riders, Small Time Racers, and NON Sponsored racers(THESE TYPE OF EVENTS BRING ALOT LESS $$$$$$). Bet that you'll see all the companys do the same in the future. While Honda is getting outta the game now, they can spend all the extra money on testing new things for the 4 stroke line. Like the CRF150 they intoduce this year, really made to take over the 85cc class but still fun for an adult, for tooling around the property. Which Honda are the ONLY company to produce a 4 stroke to run in that class, as of NOW.

Honda is also rewarding all there sponsored riders for sticking with them over the years,http://www.supercross.com/news.php?id=429. Looks like some pretty nice numbers to me, $50,000 for a SINGLE Pro Supercross win, which all that money goes to YOUR bank account not HONDA's!!!!!!!Highest payed of all the other companys.

Yamaha made the same BOLD move with their sleds, saw a opportunity and went all 4 stroke. Which obviously worked very well for the company, cause there diff. selling.

4 STROKES ARE TAKING OVER!!!!!!

But I can see theres NO winning with you, so Final Post on this topic.

I like it. I probably wont get a new Yamaha again because I want lighter weight and a 2 stroke. I like 2 strokes the same way guys like Harleys, theyre just cool even if they have disadvantages. I would never buy a 2 stroke atv (have 2 that are 4 strokes) or bike. My Viper has 2800 miles got 15 mpg never fouled a plug and never broke down so I dont have a reason not to like 2 strokes. If I lived in Canada and put on 5000 miles a year I might feel different but as it is I only get to ride a few times a year. I also dont mind buying several quarts of 2 stoke oil instead of several quarts of 4 stoke oil.Its OK to like 4 strokes, I do understand why people like them but Ive had 3 2 stroke sleds and never had a problem.

Yeah, I'm surprized the engine isn't mounted in back with the drivers seat out on a pole infront of the skis. I understand rider forward, but its getting a little extreme.

Ha-Ha... good one..

I like it.. maybe its time to sell the Apex GT jump ship.. I grew up riding Doos. Its kind of my roots.

for those of you who can't get on dootalk.com

Some say it's ugly, but 90% of us would say it was sweet if it was a Yamaha. Sorry, but it's the truth. :bash:

ditto... I still can't get over how they shaved nearly 50lbs.

I have no brand favorites, I do currently own 2 yamahas. A srx and a sx-r. I love the srx!!! The sx-r is ok. Dam# low speed burble, well that will get fixed, if the wife can feel it, its bad! We had 2 polaris's a 700xc and a trail indy, but nice machines, Anyhow this sled is plain UGLY!!! I will never buy another BRP product after they did nothing to help me when 2 evinrude dealers refused to work on my new boat motor. I was told each dealer is independent and I would have to deal with them. Like me taking the boat in wasn't good enough, or buying their $7000 e-tec!!! Arrogant, idiot, as#hol@%!!!!!!!!!
