Can you drop an SRX motor in a SXR chassis? If so, how much of driveline must be changed? Airbox, oil res, clutches, chaincase, driveshaft/sprockets all good?
i would say no. or not without more work than the sled might be worth.

I've seen a couple SXR's and Mountain Max's with SRX motors in them. They used pipes from a non-pv 700 motor. Not sure how well it works though.

Why would they do that? The pans have to be darn close, though the hoods are a bit more bulbous on the srx. Just wondering. Was gonna triple pipe the sx and a few mods, but can get a whole motor for just a bit more... with the better internals, thought it might be a cleaner way to go.
the belly pans are way differnt. There is guys that done it with the stock pipes but used dynoport exhaust canisters. They ran an aftermarker hood which is two" taller.
