Viper can it be set up to ride like Doo Rev Chassis

So those of you with a seat riser. It looks like the seat now slopes down toward the gas tank at a fairly steep angle. Is this comfortable? I would think it would force you to slide toward the tank the whole time?

The slope does push you towards the tank. That is how you get the rider forward position. You want your body to be at the pivot point of the machine for the best ride.

The Excell riser is pricey, but it is well worth it. You dont think twice about paying for C&A skiis or a 1.25" track do ya?

The quality is top notch. I have been to Aaron's shop and also have spoke with his vendors. They all are for quality first. Quality costs money...Thats why the prices seem high. They need to pay for the right tooling, and that aint cheap.

I have somewhere in the 1500-1700 miles on this setup now. I am much happier than I was with the stock machine. I did have Pioneer Perfomance revalve the Mono-Shock for this season and it is much better than it was with the stock valving.

The seat does slope a bit, but I don't find it to be a problem. I love the fact that I can comfortably put my feet directly under me for quick sit/stand transactions. It also gives you the ability to stretch out a bit when your just cruising. Elevating the hips to be more in line/or above the knee is the advantage with this piece. Yes it's 8 lbs. but I wouldn't remove it for the world. No way I could ride a stock Viper again!
 
After getting the same cold shoulder and runaround from boss the last 2 seasons I decided to build my own seat to match up with the height of my buddies nytro.When ya get a new sled in dec. they tell ya your seat will arrive in 2-3 months..heck it time to break out the dirt bike by then.most snowmobilers are impulse buyers and don't have the patience.
Well anyway It is 4"'s taller and 4"'s shorter.it runs up to the filler neck. take and lay a straight edge from the top of the bun to the filler neck and thats the angle I was shooting for.I have alot of time invested but the end product is awesome!!just waiting to get it stitched up..my goal was to keep it the same weight as stock but a couple guy's at the local speed shop think its actually lighter..I'm working on a carbon fiber frame for my next 1..keep ya posted.

When looking at risers make sure and check out Ole's risers at Olesmachineshop.com
They are cut different and push the bars forward. I have a set of 4" risers on my M-7 and it is the perfect height for standing or sitting. I'm 5'8". They make a huge difference. My wife wants to try a set on her Viper.
