Went up to Haliburton, Ontario with the gang (14 guys) this weekend and did some racing on the multitude of lakes out there. By racing I mean flat out runs, not 500-3000' drag races. To give you an idea, some of the lakes up there are 3 miles long. Note worthy results against my clutched, but otherwise stock 03 Viper were as follows.
In the faster (than me) category:
07 Mach Z 1000 - pulled away with ease at any speed
06 Attack (136") - pulled away with ease, but not a quick as the 07 Mach Z
In the slower (than me) category:
06 MX Z X 800 H.O. PowerTEK - better off the line and mid, but not top end
05 MX Z X 800 H.O. - same as above
03 MX Z Renegade 800 (136") - killed me off the line, no match mid or top end
06 RS Vector - close off the line, walked away easily over 60-70 mph
07 MX Z Trail (500ss, which is really a 600cc) - no match, smaller CCs
There was also a 01 MX Z X 700 (clutched and piped) there as well. We were dead even with the exception of the launch (stupid stock track).
All in all, not a bad result for the little Viper that could. Beating the two 800 HOs felt really good. If we were doing 80 mph and hammered it, I could pull a sled length on them in about 7 seconds. Boy were they pissed!
Special thanks to MrViper and SNOWRULES for getting me all setup!
