hi guys,
i have a simple question. will blue halogen headlight bulbs burn a stator out faster than oem bulbs? when i bought my sled the factory bulb was replaced with this blueish tint aftermarket bulb. someone told me that these aftermarket blubs will burn a stator out.

the color doesn't matter, the wattage matters. If the wattage is the same or only a little bit higher than stock you are fine. If they are a lot higher they can do some damage. Do your lights dim when you are running your warmers on high, high beams, and hit the taillight. If your light's dim, you are drawing too much.
A LED tail light will help lower your system load and allow you to run a little higher wattage head light.

FWIW I have been running a bulb from Bluhm that is dual color (yellow/green low with bright blue high) 55/65W and it works fine. The 100's might be a bit much.
I hardly ever run it on high beam. The low beam works very well. Not Viper bright but bright enough for a single bulb sled.

I run a PIAA headlight (55/65 consumption with a 100/110 output rating) with a led tail light Works great..Lights never dim under full electrical load
