Good Day Everyone; Just joined the club and looking forward to chatting. I purchased a 02 viper last winter and love the sled. It ran greatlast winter except the track was shot. I replaced it this year with a pre studded ice ripper and love it. Now I'm having oil problems. I did about 75 miles and used a full oil res. Not good. It is currently in the shop, but iwouldn't mind some additional info. I thought after I dropped it off that I may have put the exhaust valves back incorrectly when I cleaned them. But that is all I can figure out.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Also you can try a search on things too lots of info on here about vipers.
and there's a viper specific thread to post in too this one is really not
for trouble shooting..

Thanks for the advice. We also found cracks in the exhaust pipe(on either side, top and bottom of the middle pipe off the block). We make the other adjustments and hope for the best.

wheather or not yopu put the valves in wrong it will not affect your oil consumption. they go bevel up. did you have you're carbs off? check what the others have pointed out. also if the oil pump goes bad i believe they go to full stroke?
