My dad is putting a 96 xt suspension in his 94 right now. Theres a decent amount of work, not horrible. You don't have to take the track out but you need to get to the front of the Foot rests for a bolt on each side. Also you will want to get supports for the tunnel to keep it from putting to much stress on the tunnel. I myself have a 96 xt and the ride is A LOT better then the 94's Limited travel suspension. Here ya go, this is my 1995 600 with a 2003 RX1 rear suspension under it. It wasn't bad to put in at all, you will need to make some spacers and drill some new rear mounting holes, but other than that, there's not much to it. Go to www.vmax4.com there is an excellent "how to" all mapped out with pictures, dimensions, etc of how exactly to do this.
