coolant valve

hi guys,
i was wiping my sled down today and noticed the coolant valve that controls flow the carburators was "on". what temperature should this be turned on at? and when should it be off. could this cause a sled to be "doggy" when it is warm out?

Could..will make it run a touch fater.

You only need them on if it's really really cold out or if you in alot of powder.

i never run with mine on....

Definately causes my 2001 SRX and 2001 SX 700R to run pretty doggy when it is above freezing out. I never run with them on and i ride down into some COLD temps like -158 to -20*F in some cases. If you are following another sled that is kicking up a lot of snowdust or riding in powder when it is below freezing though i would probably run them. I am almost always leading so i never really have the need.
