02 viper water pump HELP!!!

I know on the 2002 vipers there was something you had to do to modify the water pump or a part you had to change on it to stop it from leaking. I've heard of alot of 02 viper water pumps leaking what part or modification do i need to stop this... any fast help woudl be awsome we have a foot coming this weekend and i would love ot get parts and the sled back to gether by then.

You need to get the mechanical seal for the waterpump. It is a black cup-like seal behind the impeller that uses spring pressure to push the cup against the ceramic piece on the back of the impeller to create the seal. The mechanical seal comes with a new ceramic piece as well. Also, order the rubber coated washer that goes on the impeller bolt. It is expensive, but they often leak if reused. By the way, this fix is much easier to do if you pull the engine out, which isn't hard to do at all.
