I have an '89 Exciter that I have long tracked and rebuilt. I dropped from the stock 9 tooth drivers to 8 teeth but that didn't reduce my gearing enough to pull the longer track. It's a 136x1.5 paddle. I know a lot of people have done the long track conversion and am wondering what gear ratios have you used? I am currently at stock with 17 top, 31 bottom. What combinations have any of you tried? I'd rather not buy the 16 tooth at $40+ and find I should have gone with the 15 tooth. Just for that reason I'm leaning towards the 15. We ride some trails and a lot of hills. That's also why I'm thinking of going with the 15 tooth. Any body have any input?

Thanks,

Bruce
