When dismantling the TORS system at the carbs is it also necessary to dismantle the throttle switch, if so how?

Are you trying to bypass the TORS? If you are, just unplug the 2 electrical connections to the throttle switch and connect them together. This will eliminate the switch.

Is the throttle switch like the carb switch? what color wires am I looking for?

unplug the two wires that go to the switch below the idle adjustment screw on the carbs. Don't plug the wires from the switch back into each other, that wont do anything. You need to plug the two wires coming from the cdi TO THE SWITCH back into each other to bypass it. If it is a closed circuit it will bypass the switch.
