advice on a sled...2000sxr 600

hey guys how's it goin i would like to have ur input on this sled...its a 2000 yamaha sxr 600...he's got 144 carbide studs in it....powermadd mandgards...14000kms on the sled and he put a new stator and cdi on it this past winer...he wants 2800$cnd for it....what everyone thought on it....gd buy or no?

See if you can bump him down to $2,500. It's still a bit high, but doesn't seem like too bad of a price if it's in mint condition. I paid $3,700 for my 99 a few seasons ago with 3,200 kms on it. The sled itself is rock solid and it's fun to add a few simple mods to and still be very reliable. It's not terrible on gas... I typically got about 200km/tank of fuel. I now have almost 11,000 kms on it and just about all of those are piped and had a few other modifications. I'm sure that if you held off you could find a better deal but that is still okay.

I bought my 2001 SXR 600 from a co-worker for $4000.00 in 2005.Put a lot into it,it is a rock solid sled and fun to ride.Bullet proof with nearly 10,000 km's on it.Will never sell it.

Buy it, put triple pipes on it, clutch, rejet and hang on!!!!!
