02 SRX Stock HP???

yes they are fast, so are the srx, i had both and the apex seems a lot stronger! i sold my srx but i miss it..
apex is awsome for grass drags, put in some supertips and adjust the suspetion right and its hard to beat! it won grassdrag this summer where i live, beat a very strong running f7 with racebox..Yammiegod
did you get the heelclickers to run stronger then 8bus? if, mutch difference?
 

I DID. I INSTALLED HEEL CLICKER SET-UP IN MY 2000 SRX FOR ICE AND GRASS. COMPAREING THEM TOO 8BU,s WHICH I LOVE BY THE WAY AND STILL HAVE THEM IN MY 02, HC HAVE AWSOME TUNEING OPTIONS, VERY VERY AGRESSIVE AND MY GUESS WOULD KILL 8BU IF YA COULD MEASURE ET BETWEEN THE TWO. I FOUND THOUGH THEY LIKE A SHALLOW FINISH HELIX AND NOT LOW GEARING. I GEARED THEM UP FOR 660 ON ICE WITH GREAT SUCESS. BASISLY ALL YA NEED IS A GRAM SCALE FOR HC, THAT WILL GET YA FINE TUNED. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
I would like to know what jetting you need to make 143 hp? Is it far from the jetting the book reccomends for the temps and altitudes?

srx's dont like to be too lean for good top end. The powervalved engines like fuel on top end for good top speed. '01 jetting works VERY well in the 00-02's.
 
I have done that with my 2002 SRX,jetted to 2001 specs.Should I still change the pilots which are 42.5 now to 40 pilots that the 01 SRX's used.Not exactly sure how the pilots effect things.I do have a slight bog or loading up at idle when it is warm out.Have to flip the throttle a couple of times and then punch it.Maybe I'll have to turn my fuel screws back from 1.5 turns to maybe 1.25 turns.Will check the floats for proper adjustment and sync the carbs also.
 
I think I will check the reeds and replace them with better ones also.Will strip everything down his summer and go thru the sled with fine tooth comb.
 
By the way,what little things can one do to get the HP up a bit and the speed without killing the bank account.I will be changing to SC10-III suspenson and Predator-H track-1''.Maybe will put 8 " over-sized rear whels and over-sized idlers also.Could drop a tooth on the upper gear.I want this SRX to kick some butt next season.
 
143-TO 145 HP IS WITH STOCK 00-02 SRX JETTING. SOME HERE WILL TELL YA 01 SRX WITH SLIGHTLY RICHER JETTING STILL MADE SAME HP. I AGREE. SOME ALSO SAY 01 WAS FASTEST. THAT WAS SLED THAT ONE SHOOTOUT IN 01. BLUEMONSTER, VERY INPORTANT TOO RUN COMPLETE 01 SRX JET SPEC. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
good info there on the hc vs 8bu! what gearing did you run with hc on 660 snow yammie tony?
and what are your best time in 660 snow with hc and 8bu? here one srx is running 8bu at ca 7.0- 7.1 sek in 660 on snowdrag.. wonder how mutch he would gain going to hc?
 
DUDE, I DON,T RUN HC SET-UP IN SNOW. KEEP IN MIND MY ICE SET-UP IS IN MY 2000 SRX. ICE IS PROBLEY THE FASTEST SURFACE OF ALL. NEXT TOO TAR. I WOULD THINK SNOW WOULD BE SLOWEST. I HAVE NOT USED HC ON SNOW, ICE AND GRASS ONLY. FOR 660 ON ICE 21-40 WORKED AWSOME. I AM GOING TOO 21-41 FOR GRASS IN 500 F.T. !! I USE 8BU-00 FOR SNOW BUT WE ARE RUNNING 1/2 MILE WITH MY 02 SRX. ON SNOW, MY GUESS IS THEY WOULD WORK, BUT REMEBER THEIR VERY AGGRESSIVE SO YOU WOULD SHALLOW HELIX. ESPECIALLY FOR SNO DRGS. MOST OF THE TIME THEIR HELD IN DEEP SNOW. 3:16 (yammie tony)
