They are ALOT louder than stock at idle. I didnt think they were too much louder on the lake. I think they sound awesome but you lose HP

my hauck growler is insanely loud. i got tired of listening to it so i took it off. and yes they are louder when you turn it up. hauck told me that rejetting was not necessary and i watched the plug color and i belive them. mine was on a 98 do you have one yet?

BEST SET-UP FOR YOUR HAUCK CAN. WELL ANY CAN FOR THAT MATTER. A HAMMER, A HOOK, AND A GARAGE WALL. STOCK BOX IS THE BEST. !! 3:16 (yammie tony)

in all honesty, people act like your loosing 30 horse or something with an aftermarket can. I cant get over it. OK OK, so I lost 2.3 HP, holy christ! I will never notice that on a sled in the SNOW. Anyhow, it is loud, but not so loud you cant stand it, in my opinion anyhow, and i honestly dont think an SRX should sound quite, its a performance machine for gods sakes. Its a nice silencer man, wont be disapointed

Amen to that

lost horsepower? where to draw the line? 99% of people add a can for sound, to get that nice braaaaaaaaaap!!!! sound right?(who just made their best two stroke sound while you read that?) Anyway some people will put a can down because it robs horsrepower but how many of them added studs to their track? how much rotating mass=certain hp? we dont hear them complaining when they loose it then. go with the can youll love it and if you need that extra 2 horse juust swap it back to stock, its alot easier than pulling studs off to get the horses back.

I dont know what more people aren't gutting there stock box.... I did mine this year and i absolutely love the sound of it and i actually ran the fastest i've ever run this year with my machine so i can't exactly see it hurting performance all to much to do. It sounds extremely good at idle, very nice deep rumble to it and its got that nice "braaaap" sound to it when ya put the hammer down.

Don't know if it is the same but the loss of hp in th mbrp can for my viper came mostly from the fact that it avried lost in temp as I was riding. Slow = warm can and hp by tach seemed th same(rpms were bang on) do 3-4 wot runs and all the extra air past the can cooled it off and lost 400 rpm top end. I put a layer of exhaust header wrap from a car on the body of the can and now once the can is warmed up it stays warm and performs consistantly.

go to http://www.hauckpowersportsinc.com/ go to srx performance section and they have pics there. I have the race loud won. you have to cut two holes in the bottom of belly pan for two of the stingers not two hARD TWO LINE UP AND WHEN ALL DONE THE SOUND IS WELL WORTH IT. if you want an easier type hauck growler the old ones you dont need to cut holes but they are hard to find.
