Alright well I bought a brand new PV tester off ebay, hooked it up the CORRECT way,no movement, turn the motor by hand back and forth, still nothing. Pulled the 3 plugs out, touched back to red, blew the fuse like I was expecting, so I have juice. Anyone else expereinced these issues with a PV tester???? I really wanna figure this out cause with my pipes removed I obviously cant do the below 900rpm method as of now.

With things attached you need to turn the key on,, the servo will set it self
then turn the key back off,,

I made my own, it worked fine, servo rotated as soon as I put power to it. Make sure the wires are OK going to the little white plug on the harness, aren't pulled out the back maybe off the pins?

No luck!!!!This is really starting to get under my skin.
Hmm...really??

i made a home made harness and it works great you must not be getting
the right or good conection, thats the only thing it could be,your servo
motor is plugged in to it's harnnes i'm sure??

my servo don't move till i turn the key "on"

Yea I dont know what the deal is. I looked over all the wiring and plugs everything is plugged in and all the wires goin into the plugs look fine also. Im gunna rig up the homemade PV tester and see what happens. Itll be alright to use a 10amp fuse instead of a 5 amp right????

Well this is some BS.....Followed the directions to the T and still nothing. Gunna triple check all the wiring AGAIN and see if I have any luck. If not I'm gunna end up throwing the pipes back on and see if i get any action with the motor running. I hate electricial sh**.

So the servo does nothing then??? yea try putting the pipes back on and
use the 900 method,i hope your servo motor ain't shot???

Doesnt move at all. Da** triple pipes makes this a bigger hassle then the stock set-up thats for sure. Yea I hope its not the servo or the wiring harness, cause Ill be breaking something if its the wiring harness. Cause thats means yanking the motor AGAIN.

A picture of what your doing would help. I made my tester 2 years ago for free and it works fine. send pics of what your doing. Its probably more simple than your making it to be.

how much voltage is coming from the battery? also i made one before and you have to make sure to have a seperate ground from the battery to the sled.

LoL Thanks Daman

Yamahasrx700: Sorry but I cant see how posting pics of this is going to help at all. Esp. if I have something internally wrong with something such as CDI, Wiring Harness, or Servo Motor. Even though I said I hate electricial stuff, I still know how to wire things as simples as this. All the wiring for my 1400watt system in my truck was done by me and was much more difficult keeping track of all those wires. Which there were quite a few since I have 1 amp running my sub and another amp running all 4 door speakers.

Redsnake: Battery is reading full charge. Where would I run the ground wire from the battery??? If ya could explain in detail. Whats the word on your head????Any sign of it yet.

What connection are you trying to tap into? Is the harness you bought powering the correct terminals? A picture is worth a thousand words. Just trying to help. Its simple 12 Volt stuff, if you have not figured it out yet, it could be possible that wiring a truck with a 1400watt system is easier.

The plug on the sled should be a 3 wire plug, 1 red wire, 1 black wire and a redw/ white chaser. Hook the red one to the pos on the 12V battery and hook the black one to the neg. side of the battery and turn the ign. switch "on". At this point your power valve servo motor should open the valves. PS- the red w/white chaser is not used for the tester (leave open). -Ed

Hey Brett, are you overthinking this possibly?

As the post above suggests, all you have to do is supply a 12V power source (of sufficient current) to the red and black wires in the test plug. If you are doing that already, just get a tester out and find where along the circuit it does not get power. Start at the PV servo motor, and if no power then split the circuit in 2 and test again. Keep using this technique until you localize the area where the circuit is getting broken. Then all you have to do is look into a small area.

Don't make me stop by again . . . LOL

Actually I have no problem stopping by if you still can't get this figured out.

Guys I know what I have to hook up and I know what wires go where BUT again its NOT WORKING. Trust me I tried for more than and hour with a homemade tester and the Maxx. perf tester neither of which made the servo motor move at all.

Randy if you find yourself in my area sometime next week YOUR help is always welcome. LoL I looked over all the plugs and wires and everything seems to be in its place. I really dont wanna put the pipes on and have to take them right off again.

Then you must have a break in a wire or plug somewhere, or the CDI or servo motor has gone bad.
