How hard is it to change out the fixed sheave of the primary and what are the steps, never pulled the clutch before, do I need a clutch puller for this. Sheave got a little stratched and dont know if I should sand them out or change. Thanks
sand them out, the sheave needs to be threaded off, cost about 100bucks, dealer will charge you 2-40 to do the work, then it needs to be stripped of all parts, and ballanced.

thxs, thats what i;ll do, betheviper, any advise on what is safe to use to sand the sheaves, i was going to just use like a 600 and work my way up till its smooth
start with 180, never let it sit, always move it around, dont let it hit the lower shaft of the spider.
then go to 400 for a finish. i glue the paper to a small piece of flat rubber so it is easy to hold onto and the paper will only cut the high spots. if you do it with your hand you can take material from the low spots too. moving the paper around is important because the friction can melt the aluminum dust, melt it together in spots on the paper and leave grooves. while your there, check the lower part of your sheaves for cracks, this is where they start.
