SRX Side Panel Discoloration..

On my "00" SRX, As we know, just about every piece of plastic is blue.., Is there any thing that works on cleaning the exhaust discoloration on the side panel?? Any good recomendations for cleaning products, that won't either discolor, fade or eat the plastic, any more?
 
heat gun

if any of your plastic is tirning white get an industrial heat gun and it will bring back the blue or black trust me i work at a plastic shop
 
I think Simple Green is what I've been using lately now that I think about it. I was using Greased Lightning before but Simple Green seemed to work better. Works good for cleaning your seat as well.

Some other stuff I use:

Foamy Engine Degreaser(don't remember the brand) with a bristled brush.
Works good to clean up motor/bulkhead/chaincase, whatever other dirty metal parts you can find.

Mother's Aluminum polish on the pipes and tunnel, 3" buffing pad from Napa works good(attaches to a electric drill).

Turtle Wax polishing compound and wax(Again, a 3" buffing pad from Napa works good)
Gets some of the scratches out of the hood and makes it nice and shiny.
 
I use STP Super Clean, works amazing. I agree with Marty, Heat gun works perfect for the Plastic distortion. I bought a cheap one at Crappy Tire for 12 bucks. Money well spent. You can use a propane torch just don't get to close.

bleach white for sidewalls. stuff comes right off and I have never had it do any damage at all. I have used it probably 5 times a season or more since 97 on my sx and then from 03 on my viper :) nothing ever got hurt yet :) and no, it doesnt have any bleach in it ;)
