They called it a tie because they couldn't pick a winner at the Snow Shoot,
is what they mean by 'tie'..thats why were voting...

just out of curiosity, are you guys actually voting for the RTX 'cause you think it's the more revolutionary sled, or just 'cause it's a Yamaha?

In my case BOTH...
 
Well I got called out.... I voted for the ski-doo for that very reason. IMO it is the biggest step and the more revolutionary sled. I'd still choose the nytro over the XP for certain reasons but that doesn't mean it's the most revolutionary.

Both companies have made huge leaps this year though and that is what makes me happy.
 
they both made big leaps, but I think the nytro's was more of a refinement rather than revolutionary. But so was the doo, which is why i'm kinda surprised that these 2 where the choices for sled of the year, neither of them are anything really wild and revolutionary. I mean I guess the doo has a new chassis, but it's pretty much just the old one, but with better construction techniques.

but I guess it's not been a real revolutionary year, mostly just refinements across the board, a little more power, a little less weight, features spread out more evenly across the brand, for everybody, but nothing drastically new.
