SRX 440 number

I DID HAVE THAT NUMBER ON A YAMAHA PREFIX SHEET I HAD. I GOT THIS FROM YAMAHA DEALERSHIP HERE IN NY. THIS IS ONLY INFO I HAVE EVER SEEN LISTED ON THE 8H1 SRX AND THE 8R9 82 SRX 500. THESE ODD BALLS WERE LISTED WITH ALL COMON PREFIX,s. THE 8H1 SRX WAS LISTED AS MODEL SRX440. NO REFERNCE TO CANADIAN RACER. THE 78 SRX WAS LISTED AS MODEL SRX440B. FUNNY THOUGH THE SSR WAS LISTED AS '' FLAT TRACK RACER ''. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Interesting that this was listed in a prefix sheet from a NY dealer! Thanks for posting! The old yamaha dealership back where I live is closed down and a new one started in it's place so any old records was lost in the changeover.

I have a copy of the 8H1 owner's service manual that really is an updated 8F2 manual. This manual state that the frame I.d number starts at 8H1-001101 so that would make my sled no. 8 in the line. I also got a 8F2 partslist that contains an extra list of the exclusive parts for the 8H1 model.

Thanks again yammie (tony) for posting your information!

Thank you guys! Hey toydoc, that's nice to hear from someone that got some of the sweetest sleds around. I'm especially impressed by the untouched condition of that SSR of yours. Really impressive all together!
