I just tryed to remove my clutch and my visegrips slipped and chipped a peice of metal about 1 square cm on the top of the clutch. will this viborate to hard or be to dangerious to operate at all???
I'd look for either a used primary clutch to replace that one or buy a new moveable sheave and get it changed. The moveable sheave part number is 8BV-17620-11-00 and cost is around $130.
You need the yamaha grunt tool or home made equivelant. There is loc tite on the threads plus it has opposite threads; turn right to loosen. I have seen many destroyed spiders from do it your self guys trying to take apart their primaries.
