I finally sent my crankshaft out for bearing replacement so I am starting to think about rebuilding my Viper motor.
Is there anything to check out on the oil pump while I have it out of the motor? I cannot seem to find anything in either the Yamaha factory or aftermarket shop manuals?
Thanks, G.B.

Thanks guys for your comments. It appears that the oil pump was working before my crank bearing went. I was just hoping there was a way to check the pump before I put the motor back together. But that does not sound to be the case.
Thanks! G.B.

Not really,
i would run pre-mix at first untill you know all the air is out
of the system..
