2 stroke turbo ?

it was a 550 hp engine package we sell for 15000.00 it includes a 4 mm stroker crank, uses stock bore, carillo rods, wiseco pistons, head work, all set-up labor, and includes alot of other trick little items i cant talk about until you buy one, with a pre programmed msd ignition setup with all our trigger parts and custom timing curves, and a made to application custom race turbo. nos is optional depending on what kit i set you up with, the nos is only on for a split sec to spool up the turbo so we can keep engagement low.

Straight from Jeff @ Simons CPR himself talking about the motor setup in the sled that went 7.97 @ 170+ mph

Its true that 7.97 is Jeffs fastest pass but those numbers have not been backed up anywhere. Also true is the fact that Yamaha did not have anywhere else to run the last couple of years because the power adder class was not offered the last few seasons. Whenever Yamaha steps up and is much faster than the rest the rules change to exclude Yamaha. Remember P Hauck on the Vmax 4 on spray at the grass drags. Rule change - They made sure he couldnt come back with that machine. I hate to say this but its only a matter of time before the Turbo two stroke smokes the Yamaha. The tubos are just getting spooled up on the two strokes and once figured out unstopable.

Martin Michigan Sept. 22-23
AND DON,T FORGET THE KNAPP VMAX 4 WARS. AND TIM BENDER RULES BEING CHANGED IF YA REALLY WANT TO LOOK BACK. JUST ANOTHER POINT ABOUT RULES GETTING CHANGED TO OUST A FAST YAMAHA. DON,T KNOW ABOUT THE TWO STROKE TURBO SMOKING THE YAMAHA THOUGH!! GREAT POST !! 3:16 (yammie tony)

Current technology is the reason you now see a 2 stroke turbo application actually in the mix, Aerocharger (dynotechs Shawn Ray) used to have turbo kits out for all 2 stroke sleds that were popular, they worked good to ok, but they didnt set the bar for other to work up to, as far as hp or sled performance.
There were naturally aspirated engines that could easily win over them. Todays technology has become alot more sophisticated and yields alot better results then yesterdays, same way with 2 stroke engine design, a piston port engine has been superceded by the cylinder reed, then the current case reed.

As for banning a yamaha that does well, Its been like this in any kind of racing. Yamaha had the best 700 triple ever made, the other manufactures quit making 700 triples because the srx was hands down better, relaible, consistant, faster, etc. Grass drag rules catered to the current trend of twin 2 stroke class, causing guys on yamahas to ADD 75lbs more wieght to thier already hefty triple sleds, this allowed the twins to win. The twins already also made 140hp stock and were 80-90lbs lighter sled from the start! If you raced a yamaha in the grass in 700 improved were they mixed the twins and triples you mise as well went home because you were handicapped bad. So it wouldnt suprise me if they add extra rules for any other "non favorite brand" doing well in a motorsport event.

Mike Knapp crushed all the asphalt 1000cc sleds with a 800 cc sled and the other racers all cried and moaned because he had 4 cyls and they only had 3. Knapp took adavntage of the 4 cylinder engine and used it to defeat them. now if arctic cat would have had a current 4 cyl liquid cooled engine it would have been allowed and not protested to the extent that yamahas did for sure!

Waynes world - party time

SPEC - Do you know if Jeff Simon is planning to defend Yamaha at Martin MI now that a power adder class is available. I was very disappointed when Yamaha wasnt even near the finals at ESTA.

Where is this grass sled now? I know it was the record holding grass 500 ft sled 2 years ago till they booted it from competition. It looks like it should be on the tar spanking the field. Looks crazy fast sitting still. Sleds at ESTA didnt look like this proline Yamaha. Must be the rules won't allow.

And this was my favorate sled I was routing for all weekend. Holly smokes if he goes any faster we will need another rule change. I beleive this sled is in the nines. Name on the back of the fold down shroud was " WAYNES WORLD ".

Tony - dont tell me you missed this creature. Don't laugh to hard this guy was fast. I wish I had the et's and MPH - please someone post times. Engine didnt look fantastic and if this guy (from Ontario) ever had the cubic dollars to invest in a motor program like the big teams - then they would outlaw him from competition too! Here's another shot.

JUST UNREAL. SEE THAT THING IS FOR THE GUY LIKE ME WHO LOVES IT WHEN A SLED SMOKES A BIKE ON TAR. THAN THERE THE GUY WHO SAYS NO WAY THAT HAPPENS. lol!! cool anyways. thanks mac. 3:16 (yammie tony)
