I bought an SRX with an M-10 in it and am having some problems getting it to go back in. I am wondering if anyone has the set-up instructions for the mount kit so I can check the measurements of how it was installed? Either they didn't mount the plates right, or the front bracket is upside down. I attached a pic of the mount that I think could be on backwards. If anyone with an M-10 could check theirs I would appreciate it!! The block is basically in the shape of a triangle...soooo does the point go up or down? Tight now I have it in the sled and bolted down, but the track is fiddle tight with no adjustment left.

Where your arrow is that arm is on correct that angle there close to the Flore is going to be parallel with the top of your tunnel. your brackets in your tunnel might be off or on wrong. snap a pic of the inside of that if you can

Here are some pics. I can take more if it will help. Thanks!!!

That all looks correct o don’t see how it could be wrong. That bolt in the front might go in the bottom hole but other then that I don’t see anything wrong. Next time I go up north I will look at my sled. But some one on hear will most likely let you know before I can

I was going to try the other hole, but that won't give me enough.. It is super tight now and I can't let the rear wheels in anymore without hitting the crossbar. I appreciate your help. If someone could scan the setup instructions for the yamaha mount kit I could check measurements. I can't seem to find it anywhere online.

Call fast directly at 218-744-2107 and I imagine they can walk you through it. They have saw it all over the years.

try this

The point goes up...looks good in the pics, just rotate them to face back
Pull the two top shock bolts ( the shocks will be pointing up but not as high as when bolted together) out & collapse the rear arm on the front & try that, once the front is bolted up to the sled them do the back, after just raise & lower the sled & swing the skid forward or backwards to bolt up the shocks...good luck...

The track is the Hacksaw. I will be changing to black backers once I have this suspension figured out.

Thanks for the link and phone number. I didn't know we had the M-10 install on this site! I'll do more checking this week to see what could be wrong. I have it all bolted in.... It's just too tight. I have read some other posts and it looks like some had the front bolt through the steering column. If that is the case I am way too far back. I'm sure I'll be posting back. :(

Well it has been better.. I put the suspension in and now it's so tight that there is no adjustment. I know my Hacksaw track was a little on the tight side in my old sled too, but there was still plenty of adjustment. I'm not sure if the oversized rears in my new skid are hurting me also. I need to look into it a little deeper, but it has been soo hot and muggy lately I haven't wanted to go out there. I plan on working on it tomorrow night.

I here that!!! I went to pull my fronts shocks off the SRX the other day to send them out. Not even 15 minutes later the job was jone and I was pooring with sweat.

Yea.. It's a little hard to get motivated when it's this muggy!!! At the same time this track thing is driving me crazy. I'll have more answers tomorrow night.

A little more progress tonight. I moved the front mount to the bottom hole per the instructions on the website. This small change actually helped quite a bit. If I didn't have the 8in. rears on there this would have given me enough adjustment. With the 8in wheels the track only has 1/4 to 1/2in sag with no adjustment left. . Tomorrow night I am going to re-locate the cross shaft in front of the rear wheels to allow them to be adjusted further forward. This is only going to give me 1/4 in more, but I am hoping it is enough. From all the measurements I can find the plates are installed correctly. I am wondering now if it is just the 8in rears along with the hacksaw which was somewhat tight in my old skid. (Very little adjustment left) I'll post back after tomorrow nights findings.

Well not a good night. I relocated the shaft and moved the rear wheels all the way forward until they hit the adjuster. (Without bolt installed) This helped a little, but not enough. One thing I think is wrong is the rear mounting location. It is at 26 1/16in center to center to front stock mounting location. From another post I see it should be 25 5/8. If I move the rear forward to 25 5/8 it allows the transfer block to come up to where it should be when not under a load. Where it mounts now the transfer block cannot come all the way to the top when the suspension is bolted in. I think that will also give me a little more slack in the track.

I am about out of ideas. I am now considering running smaller wheels on the top shaft to give me some more track clearance. (Top shaft being the one that holds the rear shock)

Any ideas are appreciated. I may give fast a call and see if they will help. I am somewhat reluctant because I am running the aftermarket offset rear axel and wheels. I'm sure they don't like to take aftermarket parts into consideration.

Snowdust I will take a few pics of mine tomorrow to match yours to see if I can see anything diff.

I would really appreciate it. I just came in from playing with it more and I think it is the rear mount. I unbolt it and it moves forward about a complete hole. In this position the track has much more slack and the transfer blocks are all the way at the top as they should be. I still don't think I can get 2" of slack, but if the rear mount was 3/4 in forward it looks like I would have about 1.5in slack with the 8in rears installed. If you could measure your center to center that would really help me. The measurement I was using was from the front stock bolt location center to the new rear mount location center. Right now I am just over 26in. Thanks!!

My 99 measured 25 5/8" from the stock hole to the rear hole when I first installed it, however i have since relocated it back to 27 1/4" because I installed extrovert drivers and they would hit the front arm of the M10. I am running a 136" M10 with 1 1/5" camo predator track. I run almost 2" sag in the track otherwise I eat thru hyfax. There is still a little adjustment left. I am also running the small M10 wheels right now. I did lose some hook up when I relocated the suspension, but that might be due to the new limiter straps I had to install (broke 2 axles and chewed up original M10 straps - replaced with universal strap) - haven't had time to mess with that issue yet.
(Also I tried installing a freedom axle and 8" wheels last year and it was so tight - still at the 27 1/4" location - I removed it and put the M10 wheels back in. Your wheels may have alot to do with it?) I took some pics, but having problems downloading for some reason. If I get it figured out, I will post them. Gook luck

Interesting. It makes me a feel a little better to know someone else had trouble with the 8in rears. I wasn't aware of smaller wheels for the M-10. I am looking for smaller wheels for the top shaft that the rear shock bolts to. That would give me a little more sag and I don't think it would effect what is gained by the 8in rears. Do you remember where you got your wheels? Thanks!!
